Printable Samurai Sudoku

A Samurai Sudoku is five 9×9 Sudoku grids on one sheet. The middle grid shares a 3×3 corner box with each of the other four, so a number you find in a shared box counts in two grids at once. Print one sheet or ten; each puzzle's answer comes on the page after it.

Quick answer

Every puzzle here has exactly one answer and can be solved without guessing. Easy puzzles need only naked singles: a square where just one number is left. Medium puzzles also need hidden singles: a number that has only one place left in a row, column or box.

Tips for a Samurai Sudoku

  • Start in the shared corner boxes: a number placed there counts in two grids, so it opens up both.
  • Solve the grid that has the most numbers first, then carry what you found into the grids that share its corners.
  • Each grid is an ordinary Sudoku: the rows and columns of one grid stop at its edge and do not run on into the next.
