How to solve Expert Sudoku

What makes a puzzle Expert is the hardest step it needs. Most often that step is Skyscraper (55%), Y-Wing (30%), or Empty Rectangle (6%).

Expert puzzles stall until you spot a pattern. Most need a Skyscraper, where one number has exactly two places in each of two rows and one end of them lines up, or a Y-Wing, three squares with two candidates each that share numbers. Keep your notes complete, or these patterns stay hidden.
